Solas means light in Irish – a little nod to my Irish roots, the light that shapes every photograph, and the light your dog brings into your life. At Solas Studio, I create one-of-a-kind images that celebrate your dog’s personality, quirks, heart and soul – from wiggly new puppies and wild zoomies, to milestones as they grow so fast, to calm old souls with wise, grey faces.
These are the moments and milestones they’ll never be again: their first year, birthdays, big adventures, quiet goodbyes, and everything in between. Your session is designed to capture the the specialness of your dog, so you can capture them as they are now – forever.

- Dog-Led, Fun & Low-Pressure
- Sessions are relaxed, playful and completely adaptable. We move at your dog’s pace, follow their lead, and keep things light and positive. No dog is “too energetic”, “too nervous” or “too old” here.
- Before We Meet – Getting to Know Your Dog
- Before your session, you’ll receive a short online form so I can learn more about your dog’s personality, likes, dislikes and any special needs. You’ll also get an info pack with FAQs, what to bring, and tips for making the day easy and stress-free.
- A Private Studio Just for Your Dog
- Your dog (or dogs) will have the studio all to themselves. No waiting room, no other pets, no distractions – just a safe, contained space where they can sniff, explore and settle in.
- Meeting Them Exactly Where They’re At
- Anxious or shy dog? Busy, bouncy puppy? Senior with sore joints? I tailor the session to meet your dog where they’re at. We keep handling gentle, offer plenty of breaks, use positive reinforcement and never push them beyond their comfort.
- Built-In Variety + Plenty of Breaks
- Depending on the package you choose, your session can include different backdrops, props and set-ups to give you a variety of images – from bold studio portraits to playful, silly shots. We always allow time for drink breaks, cuddles and “I need a minute” pauses.
